OpenVR is currently being used to connect our GUI to a virtual reality head mounted display and its associated input devices. The challenge in this task is to make sure, in a robust way, that each eye viewpoint is rendered correctly. Further, a suitable control interface is required in the GUI and it should be possible to use all the available hardware to control user motion within the scene or provide feedback to them. Currently only the left/right eye viewpoints are rendered and displayed, with head pose being used to orient those views, but no other motion yet works. The eye viewpoints are rendered incorrectly due to incorrect matrices and this needs correcting. |
